ahhh…back at the ANA hotel in tokyo – feeling at home in the immense city of Tokyo and the classy comfort of this hotel (thank you uncle rod!). have relocated the blog authoring location to the 36^th floor manhattan lounge – amazing views of the skyline from here. we returned from Kyoto tonight via the bullet train, after two shopping filled days in the 7^th largest city in japan. originally the capital of japan, Kyoto hosts a dense collection of culture and history in a beautiful location (nearly 2000 shinto shrines and buddhist temples).

so i’m back at my usual place, the champagne room – tonight it seemed the staff had changed – no cheers environment (nobody knew my name) but one of the waiters saved me when my new waitress didn’t know what type of drink i was ordering – he had remembered me, walked over and motioned that he would explain to her…
