ahhh…back at the ANA hotel in tokyo – feeling at home in the immense city of Tokyo and the classy comfort of this hotel (thank you uncle rod!). have relocated the blog authoring location to the 36th floor manhattan lounge – amazing views of the skyline from here. we returned from Kyoto tonight via the bullet train, after two shopping filled days in the 7th largest city in japan. originally the capital of japan, Kyoto hosts a dense collection of culture and history in a beautiful location (nearly 2000 shinto shrines and buddhist temples).

yesterday it rained…hard…our tour was very disorganized (more…)

so i’m back at my usual place, the champagne room – tonight it seemed the staff had changed – no cheers environment (nobody knew my name) but one of the waiters saved me when my new waitress didn’t know what type of drink i was ordering – he had remembered me, walked over and motioned that he would explain to her…

scott at uluwatus

its about time that i’ve setup a personal website…thank you bala for constantly asking “when will you have a blog?”

today was my second downtime day in the past few weeks of traveling - sunday was flying home day from bali - crossing the dateline east is always fun, as we left bali at 4pm sunday, and arrived in san francisco at 8pm, sunday…

had a short one day stop over in portland - switched bags, did a little laundry, and said hi to loved ones…of course i spent time with my tv and a little tiger woods…

tuesday was a travel day again, i have to say that Seat Guru is an amazing website - if you haven’t been there, it goes into serious detail about most major carriers and their seats. no longer will i be in the non-reclinable exit row, or the noisy seat next to the lavatories (sound isn’t the only sense bothered by that seat)…

today is a rest day - went to the mall to buy some final travel items (go puma) - and signed up for this website - keonesurf.com I’m using blue hosting - highly recommended - good price, total LAMP environment - with lots of goodies such as wordpress, a bunch of CMS tools and event some CRM stuff…am very impressed…

so i’m fighting the sleeplessness of traveling all over the pacific with doing a little php/web development…more to come as i head to japan… :p
